Demonstration Projects

CARD-USF and/or associated projects develop several new demonstration projects each year that are aimed at (a) increasing community and family knowledge and (b) demonstrating "best practice" in the areas of autism and related disabilities. These demonstration projects are often in collaboration with other agencies and families. For example, in the past CARD-USF has developed several demonstration projects that increased families' and professionals' skills in the areas of positive behavior support, developing inclusive summer camps, and friendships.

Demonstration projects are responsive to needs identified by families and professionals and offer an opportunity for more direct assistance and support for families participating in the specific project.
