Frequently Asked Questions

Parents with Teen

What is Technical Assistance?
Technical Assistance is a service, provided by CARD, to schools and agencies, which have direct interaction with individuals on the autism spectrum. The focus of technical assistance is on building capacity with a teacher and/or team around an entire classroom issue or concern. Technical Assistance does not focus on an individual student.

If your concern/request is in regards to a specific student/child, who is currently a CARD constituent, please contact the child's CARD Consultant for Direct Assistance services. If the child is not a CARD constituent, the child's parents would need to register with CARD before services would be provided.

If you would like to schedule technical assistance please click on the link at the end of this page to bring up the request form.

What is Training?
Training is provided by CARD to schools, agencies, and parent support groups on topics of importance to those involved with individuals with autism and other related disabilities. The focus of training is on awareness, skill development and enhancement, systems change, and capacity building.

If you would like to schedule training, please click on the link at the end of this page to bring up the request form.
