Direct Assistance

Parent and child with autism play at home.Our CARD consultants provide direct assistance to families, schools and agencies by providing specific strategies and resources to meet an individual's needs. It can include any or all of the following:

Direct assistance from CARD-USF may be provided to any individual constituent (child or adult) but will be limited to the extent that the constituent, family, professional and/or agency is involved in:

Families and professionals will be notified of activities in their local community and will be encouraged to participate if they want to receive direct assistance from CARD-USF consultants.

Technical Assistance

Technical Assistance is a service, provided by CARD, to schools and agencies, which have direct interaction with individuals on the autism spectrum. The focus of technical assistance is on building capacity with a teacher and/or team around an entire classroom issue or concern. Technical Assistance does not focus on an individual student.

How to Request Technical Assistance

If you are a school or agency and would like to schedule technical assistance please click on the link below to access the online request form.

When the form has been successfully submitted, you will be taken to a "Success!" page. Someone will then contact you within 10 days business days. If you do not see the "Success!" page, please email us so we can verify that your request was received.

Training

CARD-USF provides group trainings to schools, agencies, and parent support groups on topics of importance to those involved with individuals with autism and other related disabilities. The focus of training is on awareness, skill development and enhancement, systems change, and capacity building.

How to Request Group Training

If you would like to schedule a training for your group, please click on the link below to access the online request form.

When the form has been successfully submitted you should receive a response that says it has been accepted and someone will contact you within 10 days. If you do not receive an acceptance response, send an email to card-usf@usf.edu and let us know so we can verify that the form came through.

Just to be on the safe side, you may want to print a copy of the filled out form before hitting the submit button, in the event that there is a computer glitch. That way you can fax the printed form to us at 813-905-9812 if there is a problem.
