Mariya works as a Community Outreach Program Assistant at CARD and is part of the administrative team assisting with special projects, public awareness events, fundraising and donor relation activities. Mariya is also involved in maintaining and updating latest research information on a wide variety of topics useful for use by other CARD staff. Using her role at CARD she actively seeks out all opportunities to become effective advocate for individuals with disabilities.
Mariya has an undergraduate degree in Dental sciences with focus on General Dentistry from India. She received her master’s degree in public health from USF in the concentration of Maternal and Child Health. During her graduate studies she was Research and Education Chairs for the Maternal and Child Health Student Organization. Her experience includes volunteer role for a non-profit Association for Science in Autism Treatment that is committed to improving the education, treatment, and acre of individuals with autism. Serving in this role broadened her interest to the field of individuals with autism and other disabilities. To expand upon her professional expertise, she recently earned the prestigious Certified Health Education Credentialing Certification.
